At Abdool & Abdool Inc., the way we conduct ourselves is just as important as the results we deliver. These standards govern every interaction — with clients, insurers, partners, staff, and the wider community of Guyana.
Our primary obligation is to our clients. We place your interest above our own commercial interests at every stage — from initial advice through placement, to claims resolution. We never recommend a product that does not serve your genuine needs.
We deal honestly with every client at all times. We never misrepresent information, conceal material facts, or act in any manner that could mislead. Our advice is always clear, accurate, and in plain language that you can understand and act on.
We treat all client information as strictly confidential. We never disclose personal, financial, or commercial information to any unauthorised party without explicit consent — except as required by law or for the purpose of arranging your insurance cover.
We respond to client enquiries promptly. If we make a mistake, we acknowledge it, correct it, and learn from it. We never leave a client uninformed about the status of their policy or claim.
We identify and disclose any conflicts of interest promptly and transparently. Where a conflict cannot be managed, we decline to act. We never allow commercial relationships with insurers to compromise the quality of advice we provide to you.
If you believe we have fallen short of these standards, contact us directly. We take all concerns and complaints seriously and respond to every one promptly. Email p.abdool@abdools-inc.com with the subject line "Client Concern".
Every member of the Abdool & Abdool team represents our 50-year reputation in every interaction. We treat every client, insurer, colleague, and member of the public with respect, dignity, and courtesy — without exception.
We comply fully with all applicable laws and regulations in Guyana and any other jurisdiction in which we operate. We hold and maintain all licences and authorisations required to conduct our business. Non-compliance is never acceptable — not even under business pressure.
The long-term success of our company depends on the competence of our people. Every team member is expected to maintain and develop their professional knowledge, stay current with market developments, and seek guidance when they are uncertain.
Team members must not disclose client information, company data, pricing, or business strategies to any unauthorised party — inside or outside the company. This obligation continues after employment ends.
No team member may accept gifts, payments, or any benefit from clients or insurers that could influence — or be perceived to influence — their professional judgment. Modest gifts of nominal value should be declared to management.
We are committed to a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying in any form. Every person who works with or for Abdool & Abdool deserves to be treated with fairness and dignity. Violations of this standard will be investigated and addressed promptly.
Since 1974, Abdool & Abdool Inc. has built its reputation on the trust of the businesses, families, and institutions of Guyana. That trust has been earned through consistent behaviour — not marketing. This code of conduct is not a box-ticking exercise. It is a reflection of who we are, codified so that every client, every partner, and every member of our team knows exactly what to expect from us.
We review and update this code annually. The most recent version is always available on this page.
Any breach of this code — by any member of the Abdool & Abdool team — should be reported to our Managing Director at p.abdool@abdools-inc.com. All reports are treated confidentially and investigated thoroughly.
If you have any questions about our conduct or wish to raise a concern, please contact us directly.
